Your personal sphere of influence:
As a university assistant Praedoc, you will lead the research team around Mr. Prof. Christopher RADEMACHER at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences - Pharmaceutical Division. Technology & Supplement and complete biopharmaceuticals. The focus of our research is on RNA and CRISPR/Cas9 technologies and these will revolutionize future treatment of patients. Targeted delivery methods will play a key role in these novel therapeutics.This dissertation project will focus on the further development of a targeted delivery system, which the Rademacher laboratory recently has developed. This allows Langerhans cells in the skin to be specifically addressed. For a successful application, fundamental concepts of antigen processing and presentation by APCs as well as an understanding of T cell biology should be provided. In addition to fundamental scientific questions, translational challenges will be focus. Knowledge about targeted drug delivery and gene editing tools, basic handling of flow cytometry and Cell culture techniques are desired. The work will take place at the interface with nanotechnology and a background in biochemistry and molecular biology should be present.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies.
- We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
- You work on your dissertation and its completion.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
This is part of your personality...
- Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in the field University, immunology or cell biology
- Basic experience in academic writing and with research methods
- Didactic competences / experience with e-learning
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 Level)
- IT user skills:(e.g. MS Office, target criterion: FlowJo)
- The canditate should have extensive knowledge in the field of immunology or cell biology in order to be able to carry out research tasks in this area in a meaningful way.
- You should be a team player with high social skills
- Required: Experience in culturing and analyzing mammalian cell lines multidimensional flow cytometry or in confocal imaging.
