Your future tasks:
We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12 months at the latest and to participate in research, teaching and administration, including:
- Participation in research projects / research studies
- Participation in publications / academic articles / presentations
- Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement
- Supervision of students
- Involvement in the organisation of meetings, conferences, symposiums
- Involvement in the department administration as well as in teaching and research administration
The language of the school is English; therefore, English is required, knowledge of German is appreciated . Further expectations are:
- Strong communication, data presentation and visualization skills
- Ability to work both, independently and collaboratively
This is part of your personality:
#1 PhD position in Molecular Dynamics Simulations of a Proton Transfer Water in Various Environments
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Computational Science, or related fields
- Strong affinity for computational work
- Oral and written proficiency in German (for teaching of BA students) is an added value
#2 PhD position in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Homogeneous Catalysis
- Applicants must hold a 1st Class Honors degree (or equivalent) in Organic Chemistry by the time of the appointment
- Only candidates with a Master's degree with a strong theoretical and practical background in the field of organic synthesis/chemistry will be considered
- Experience with standard inert-atmosphere techniques (Schlenk line, glovebox) and/or photocatalysis could be regarded as an added value
