The Vienna Institute of Demography (VID) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW), Austria’s leading nonuniversity research and science institution, is offering a 

POSTDOC POSITION (F/M/X) 

(full-time / 40h per week)

in the Research Group on Family and Labour Market, headed by Caroline Berghammer, for an initial period of 3 years. An extension up to 5 years is possible.  The starting date is April 1st, 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. 

We are looking for an outstanding postdoctoral researcher to join the project “Families and inequality in a flexible world of work” (FLIN; funded by an ERC Consolidator Grant). This project uses international time-use data and other data sources to investigate the role of flexible working (working from home, flextime) for family time (time with children and partner) and gender equality in the distribution of paid and unpaid work in couples. 

Your future position is at the Vienna Institute of Demography, Austrian Academy of Sciences, which is member of the Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital (IIASA, OeAW, University of Vienna). You will join a dynamic research environment with scientists working on a diverse array of disciplines in the social sciences.

For this position we offer an annual gross salary of € 66,501.40, according to the collective agreement of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
