In addition to providing a solid academic education, we also place a special emphasis on the personal development of students. Your workplace:
The Senior Lecturer position is responsible in particular for teaching in the field of clinical and health psychology in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs at the Faculty of Psychology. You will be responsible for academic teaching for an average of 14 semester hours per week and design lectures and seminars (as well as other formats) in all educational phases. In addition, the Senior Lecturer may be expected to (co-)supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses. Taking on administrative tasks (especially in the administration of teaching) is part of the job. The ongoing reception of the current state of science and the assumption of research activities are expected. Continuous didactic training, especially in the area of e-learning, is also expected.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in scientific teaching, research & administration, which means:
- You hold courses independently in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. That means an average of 14 semester hours per week for full-time employment.
- You will take on administrative tasks, especially in the administration of teaching.
- The ongoing reception of the current state of science as well as further didactic training during the lecture-free time are expected.
In case of positive evaluation at the end of the fixed-term period of 4 years, the position will be changed to a permanent position.
What we expect:
- Completed PhD studies, in the field of psychology
- Several years of independent teaching at a post-secondary educational institution
- Didactic competences (proof e.g. by teaching evaluations, teaching awards)
- Experience in clinical and health psychology research and teaching (preferably with a focus on mechanisms of development and maintenance of physical and mental illnesses/disorders as well as psychobiological effects of interventions)
- Experience in teaching research skills
- Experience in e-learning (e.g. webinars, Moodle), as well as digital & hybrid teaching
- Social competencies
- You should be a team player with high social skills
- Desirable: (Started) further training as a clinical psychologist or psychotherapist (in an evidence-based practice)
