Your personal sphere of influence:
As a University Assistant Praedoc you will join the team of Prof. Dr. Chris Thomale, currently consisting of four Prae Docs, two project assistants, six study assistants, one administrative colleague and one coordinator.
Their tasks include active participation in teaching as well as collaboration on research and publication projects with a focus on corporate and commercial law.
The duration of the contract is 3 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not submit a declaration of non-extension within the first 12 months. An extension to a maximum of 4 years is possible if work progresses accordingly. The position is to be filled as of March 3rd, 2025.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies in the area of corporate law.
- We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
- You will work on your dissertation and its completion.
- You will teach courses independently in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
Your tasks will include active participation in teaching as well as collaboration on research and publication projects with a focus on corporate and commercial law.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in the field law
- Basic experience in academic writing and with research methods
- Didactic competences / experience with e-learning
- Excellent command of written and spoken German and English (C1 Level), futhermore good command of another language is welcome
- IT user skills
- You should be a team player with high social skills
