Your personal sphere of influence:
As a University Assistant Praedoc you will support the team of the Department of Criminology of Prof. Dr. Christian Grafl at the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology for the duration of the absence of a colleague.
The team of the Department of Criminology consists of an administrative colleague, a pre-doc, a post-doc, an assistant professor and a study assistant.
You will be actively involved in teaching, publishing and research in criminology and criminalistics. The focus of the department is on social science criminology.
This is an employment for maternity leave replacement from 01.04. - 31.07.2025
Your future tasks:
You will be actively involved in research, teaching and administration, which means
- Participation in research projects
- Participation in publications/scientific articles/lectures
- Participation in and independent teaching of courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement
- Student support
- Participation in the organization of meetings, symposia, conferences
- Participation in team, teaching and research administration
- Own scientific activities (especially writing a dissertation) are encouraged and supported
This is part of your personality:
- Completed law studies
- Basic knowledge of empirical research
- Excellent knowledge of German
- Very good written and spoken English (C1)
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for results
- IT user skills
Desirable are
- Completion of the Elective Criminal Justice and Criminal Sciences
- Social commitment
- Didactic skills
- You are a team player
