On behalf of the Rectorate, the Culture and Equality unit offers three fixed-term positions (6 months each) for female postdoctoral researchers as part of a new program for the advancement of women. The positions will especially be awarded to those faculties/centers of the University of Vienna where women are significantly underrepresented and will be advertised twice a year.
Your personal sphere of play:
The program supports female scientists at the University of Vienna in completing research projects, finalizing / revising / resubmitting research proposals and/or completing publications.
Your future tasks:
You focus on the completion of a research project, the finalization/revision/submission of a research proposal and/or the completion of publications.
You fulfill the following requirements:
You are a female postdoc,
1. who has a current employment contract with the University of Vienna
and
2. whose employment contract has a maximum duration of seven months at the time of application
and
3. who can present a project (project, project proposal, publication) that is close to completion.
Funding can only be awarded to those female scientists who can be employed for at least 6 more months according to §109 UG at the time of taking up the position.

What we offer:
Flexible start date: You can take up the position either directly after the end of your current contract or at the earliest possible date.
Semiannual advertisement: The position is awarded twice a year and applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis. The application deadline for the first positions is March 3, 2025.
Fixed-term contract and fair salary: The basic salary of EUR 4,752.30 (14 x annually) for a period of 6 months increases if we can credit previous professional experience.
Work-life balance: You have flexible working hours and can also work remotely (also part-time by arrangement).
