We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher in late antique/early medieval history. We are an interdisciplinary team working in the six-year ERC SyG project HistoGenes - Integrating genetic, archaeological and historical perspectives on Eastern Central Europe, 400-900 AD (1 May 2020-30 April 2026). We offer a creative working atmosphere, interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and an adequate starting salary.

Your work enviroment:

You will be working at the Institute of Austrian Historical Research. Your main activity will be to contribute to an interdisciplinary project about the population history of Eastern Central Europe, c. 400-900 CE, and collaborate with archaeologists, geneticists, anthropologists and historians.
