MASTER STUDENT POSITION (F/M/X)
(Part-time employee)
(part-time, 10h per week)
As a student assistant, you will support ongoing work within the context of the ÖAW long-term project "Dictionary of Bavarian Dialects in Austria (WBÖ)", which is dedicated to the comprehensive documentation, digital lexicographical processing, and analysis of the base and regional dialects of (old) Austria and South Tyrol.
Ihr Aufgabenbereich
- Supporting the management and maintenance of the WBÖ database
- Supporting the lexicographical work
- Supporting the preparation of corpus data
- Literature research and acquisition
- Assistance with formal correction work
Ihr Profil
- You are currently studying for a diploma, MA or teaching degree in German studies / German Philology or Linguistics (with a focus on German studies)
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Dialectology, Varationist Linguistics, Lexicography, Corpus Linguistics
- Proficient in using standard office software and computers in general, secure spelling
- Openness to the latest developments in the field of Digital Humanities

We offer an annual gross salary of € 9.453,43, according to the collective agreement of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. The employment will start at the earliest in May 2025 and run initially for 1 year, with the option to extend.
